Jonah has an equally telling point about "diplomacy":
I am 100% behind Israel in every way, shape and form.
They should not have bowed to their peaceniks when they pulled out of Gaza in 2005, nor should they have negotiated with Arafat all those years. Their approach to the Palestinians should be "They can lay down their weapons, renounce violence, and join us in peace, and we will embrace them as brothers. If they choose to continue to fight, we will exterminate them or drive them off the land permanently. They came from Jordan and Egypt, and if they can't live with Jews, they can go back."
We have been bribing Jordan and Egypt to the tune of $2.5 billion per year to stay formally neutral in this conflict. But they are now getting worried that Shia (and non-Arab) Iran is getting too powerful by supporting the barbarians in the nominally Sunni Arab groups of Hamas in Palestine, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the remnants of the Baath Party in Syria. So they have not made too many complaints about this latest action by Israel, and in fact are even daring to condemn Hamas here and there for their model rocketry program.
Israel needs to ignore the UN and the US State Department, drive all these medieval people out of their territory, build a hermetically sealed border, and hunker down under a high-tech umbrella until the Muslim world self-destructs or reforms. We could be talking decades or even centuries, but short of a nuclear annihilation of 30% of the world's population, or the sacrifice of Israel, there are no alternatives. Maybe if we are lucky, the current economic meltdown will trigger Muslim fratricide. When that happens, our presence in Iraq will pay for itself a hundredfold as we operate from friendly land bases to protect our interests and project our strengths, and force the Saudis to purge the Muslim radicals and pay to reform Islam or lose their oil wealth forever.

I do like the bit about how Israelis should have "tried a diplomatic solution first." This is a classic example of ideological knee-jerkery substituting for information. Hamas launched (or permitted to be launched) 6,464 rockets into Israel over the last three years. Israel did little to nothing but try "diplomatic solutions."
That's 6 rockets a day fired from an area half the size of the San Fernando Valley. How long would we "try diplomacy" if San Diego got hit by 6 missiles a day from Tijuana?I am 100% behind Israel in every way, shape and form.
